The Criminal Justice & Police Sciences program prepares students for post-secondary education, careers in the military and entry-level employment in the protective services field. Students who possess integrity, fairness, and a desire to protect and serve will be interested in this program.

Course Description and Career Skills
This comprehensive program prepares individuals for careers in law enforcement, corrections, private security, and criminal justice by providing instruction in crime scene management, use of force, criminal law and procedures, health and safety, police operations, court systems, communications, homeland security, and working with special populations. Students gain hands-on experience collecting and processing evidence, securing crime scenes, performing emergency medical procedures, conducting investigations, enforcing laws, managing corrections, preparing court documentation, and employing effective communication techniques. The curriculum also addresses ethical and legal responsibilities, de-escalation strategies, security planning, and contemporary issues such as cybercrime, terrorism, and substance abuse, equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate safely, professionally, and effectively in a variety of public safety and security roles.
